Arun Estates have always been focused on giving back to our local communities – from taking part in coffee mornings and fun runs to donating to our local community foundations and other charitable causes.
Throughout December, celebrated 12 Days of Giving, where we featured 12 of the amazing charities and foundations that our own founder’s foundation (The Paul Rooney Foundation) has donated to within the past 12 months.
Our staff have gone above and beyond when fundraising for charity. Within the past 9 months alone, we've seen local agents run marathons, run branch-led foodbank donations and even dress up to serve hot drinks and cake for valued causes raising over £740,000.
In 2021, The Paul Rooney Foundation has donated over £300,000 towards amazing foundations and hospices like Whizz-Kid, ellenor’s, Theodora Children’s Charity, the ABC Fund, and community foundations across Kent, Surrey, and Essex. Thanks to these donations, we've positively helped a large number of children in their daily lives, from providing custom-built wheelchairs to help with daily accessibility to funding trips and events like theatre shows and fairs for disadvantaged families and support workers.
The Paul Rooney Foundation also provides ongoing support to local families within our communities, funding support and assistance in physiotherapy, accessibility options, custom equipment, and activities for children and families suffering from life-limiting diseases. Personally working with families is so important to us, that's why The Paul Rooney Foundation carefully selects each of our local donations to bring positivity to as many families, in the best way possible.
This year we have selected The Children’s Trust – the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury and neuro disability – as our 2022 charity partner. Focused on helping children with neurological disabilities, our agents are already making plans for their fundraising activities this year, so be sure to keep an eye on ourFacebookandInstagramto support their efforts in fundraising for this amazing cause!
